About this package

Category

License
MIT OR BSD-2-Clause OR BSD-3-Clause OR GPL-3.0-or-later

Topics: codes-portability, fortran, number-formatting, numerical-kinds, portability, precision, type-conversion

Classification scope and review notes

Portable numerical kinds, formats and number/string conversions. The latest archive is blocked by a symlink, so this entry uses exactly the older revision already verified as a BeFoR64 dependency. The checked main calls penf_init, verifies integer and real conversion round trips with status checks, zero-padded integer output, real byte size and formatted real output. Sources are unchanged; this adds an independent editable main for the pinned library. Every kind, character encoding, endian platform and invalid conversion is not validated.

Package dependencies

Resolved GitHub repositories used by the verified playground build, combining direct and indirect dependencies. This list does not describe internal module dependencies or native system libraries.

Required by this build

No additional GitHub package dependencies were recorded for this verified build.

Build record verified 2026-10-29.

Used by (1 selected package)

These selected builds include this repository directly or indirectly. Each link to source identifies the revision that build uses.

Reviewed procedures

These mappings have pinned source evidence. A checked package example may exercise only some of them; source review is not a numerical benchmark.

R1 N3

R1: verified; N3: source-supported

Derivatives / callbacks: not applicable

Portable numerical kinds, formats and number/string conversions. The latest archive is blocked by a symlink, so this entry uses exactly the older revision already verified as a BeFoR64 dependency. The checked main calls penf_init, verifies integer and real conversion round trips with status checks, zero-padded integer output, real byte size and formatted real output. Sources are unchanged; this adds an independent editable main for the pinned library. Every kind, character encoding, endian platform and invalid conversion is not validated. The R1 driver verifies ISO kind correspondence, six type widths, public size/max/normal-minimum constants, byte inquiries, byte order, repeated initialization and measured real32/real64 roundoff. It does not verify the separate N3 conversion mapping, quadruple precision or arbitrary platforms.
