Selected serial classic-format Fortran sources follow the upstream CMake classic-library source set and use the unchanged public netCDF-C API. The operator-owned FPM wrapper retains original include files and sets HAVE_F2008, HAVE_TS29113_SUPPORT and NO_NETCDF_2 for the GNU 16 Linux environment; no library sources are edited. The native libnetcdf-dev package is locked to 1:4.9.3-1. The consumer writes a 3-by-2 real array and units attribute to a classic dataset, reopens it, checks dimension lengths, attribute and every value, then removes the file. NetCDF-4-specific Fortran interfaces, the old V2 API, parallel I/O and all data types are outside this selected build and verification scope. Source exports require the native netCDF C development library.
