Classification scope and review notes

The unmodified M_history redo editor records two commands in its scratch history file. The self-contained main supplies editing directives through the optional lun argument, recalls line 1, changes 290 to 300 and checks the result, then recalls line 2 and verifies that its original text remains unchanged. No shell command is executed and no interactive terminal is required. The main follows the author application in using a 1024-character buffer. An initial 120-character buffer triggered an upstream bounds error at cin(1:255); that diagnostic is retained separately, and shorter buffers are not verified/supported by this catalog example. N1/N3 cover command input and character editing; no numerical-method classification is inferred. MIT library notices and the public-domain author application notice are retained.
