Classification scope and review notes

The original Fortran 2018 FPM bindings are compiled against pinned Debian libmodbus 3.1.11-2. The consumer checks positive, negative and zero single-precision values through the ABCD, BADC, CDAB and DCBA register conversion APIs and prints register words in hexadecimal. These are offline operations, with no socket, serial port or Modbus device. N2 covers bit/byte representation; the catalog does not claim verified device communication. The author test/test_modbus.f90 documents context use but is not used as a device test. ISC notices are retained.

Package dependencies

Resolved GitHub repositories used by the verified playground build, combining direct and indirect dependencies. This list does not describe internal module dependencies or native system libraries.

Reviewed procedures

These mappings have pinned source evidence. A checked package example may exercise only some of them; source review is not a numerical benchmark.

Setter words independently compared with bit-assembled register values; getters supplied independent words and compared bitwise. Includes signed zero, subnormal and extreme finite values. NaNs, infinities, device/network I/O unverified.
