Serial classic Fortran ARPACK-NG interfaces, built from unchanged SRC .f files, the documented UTIL support set, and upstream debug/statistics initializers. The wrapper uses native LP64 BLAS/LAPACK and excludes PARPACK/MPI and generated C bindings. The upstream second_NONE timing stub disables ARPACK internal elapsed-time statistics; playground build/run timings still work. Adapted from the author symmetric reverse-communication example, the main computes three smallest eigenpairs of a 20-by-20 symmetric tridiagonal operator, checks convergence status/count, analytical eigenvalues and eigenvector residual norms. A deterministic nonzero initial residual avoids dependence on random initialization. Nonsymmetric/complex modes, shift-invert, generalized problems and parallel execution are not validated.
Package dependencies
Resolved GitHub repositories used by the verified playground build, combining direct and indirect dependencies. This list does not describe internal module dependencies or native system libraries.

Reviewed procedures
These mappings have pinned source evidence. A checked package example may exercise only some of them; source review is not a numerical benchmark.

A deterministic nonzero initial residual avoids dependence on random initialization. Nonsymmetric/complex modes, shift-invert, generalized problems and parallel execution are not validated. Dedicated D4 driver checks the three smallest and three largest eigenpairs of the 20-by-20 Dirichlet tridiagonal (2 diagonal,-1 off-diagonal), with explicit starting residual, convergence/extraction status, analytical eigenvalues and sign-invariant sine eigenvector comparisons, equation residuals and orthonormality. Generalized, nonsymmetric, shift-invert and arbitrary spectra are not verified. Refined from broad D4 to D4a1 for the reviewed real symmetric ordinary-eigenproblem interfaces.
